I am currently trying to complete my MAS project (am finishing my current job next thursday so am trying to get it finished asap). I'm transferring to another office within the same company so can get it signed off after I leave.

I'm just starting to panic that I won't get it finished in time. I'm in the middle of analysing current systems - done all the planning, research, etc. I also know what I'm going to do for the improvement section.

Was just wondering, for those of you who have done the project already, how long it took you to do it and whether it is possible to do it in a couple of weeks.

Trying to stop myself worrying to put my mind at rest!!!

Helen

    Hi

I have completed the project and had it signed off, I found out that the actual typing and setting out the whole thing only took a few days, once I had done all the research, and knew what I wanted to do faults, improvements ect the problem was keeping within the requisite amount of words.

Gook luck in your new role.

MAS Project - advice only

    Hi,

At the college I go to they set aside 5 teaching weeks (the week after the Dec exams to the end of Jan) for the project so we didn't have to try to study units and write the project at the same time.

I think it was a great idea as I could concentrate on it and work on it solidly and hand it in with time to spare. Now all I have to worry about is the two costing exams and business tax exam in June.

I had the additional problem of having left the job that I was writing the project about but I was still on fairly good terms with my ex-manager and he signed it off. He used my ideas to make changes and took credit for them, but I'm long gone from there and don't really mind.

As long as you regularly work on the project it will come together quicker then you expect. Also, try to get regular opinions from your lecturer and really pay attention to covering all the criteria as several of my collegues had to re-write sections as they had missed some criterias.

Good luck!
