does anyone know when it would be essential to keep a manual cash book for VAT purposes as opposed to computerised<BR><BR>Any help would be great

    i thought either would be ok because if you had a computerised one you could easily print off pages

    Hi Kuljit<BR><BR>There is no requirement to keep computerised accounts, only accounts. Small businesses need not burden themselves with the cost of computers and software if there isn't a payback in terms of cost savings or efficiency.<BR><BR>If you only have a couple of hundred items a month like an insurance broker I once worked for then manual cashbooks are fine.<BR><BR> Alexander
