I am currently study AAT at technician level & have only two exams left to pass in june. I was just wondering whether anyone knows any details e.g. exemption, how many years/exams are in the course?

Also, i think maybe the first part is exempt if all AAT is passed, does this mean if i fail one of my exams in june i CANNOT go on to the ACCA until i have passed these

Any help or advice would be much appreciated,

Thanks

DAN

ACCA?
Dan,

I had a similar problem as I had completed all the exams but my project was still outstanding so I asked the question to ACCA and in order to get the first level exeption you do need to have passed all the technician level exams on the new syllabus. However you can join at any point and without completing AAT Technician you can still get exemptions from some papers (the first 2 I think). I did ask whether you could pay to sit the outstanding exam and not turn up an wait for your AAT to catch up and was told this was possible however it would meaning paying twice for one exam (but my workplace would,ve paid so that was not a problem)

Hope this is of some help

Leasa0 -
ACCA?
thanx leasa, so did u go onto the acca without fully completing AAT? u know u said u asked whether u could pay to sit the extra paper earlier, well wot is this, is this one of the papers for the first part of ACCA. I only have to pass the two but if i did fail one i have to wait till december to do a resit which will mean i cant do the ACCA rite?

thanx for ur help0 -
ACCA?
ACCA have two sittings a year like AAT. You will get exemptions for the first two papers without doing the project but you may as well get the full AAT qualification. I think to get those exemptions you need to have completed the whole AAT centrals.

If you do fail (which you probably won't) then you can resit in December and start ACCA after that, in time for the june sittings.

Feel free to email me if you want any more information (address in profile).

Annette0
