Is anyone else sitting their costing skills test this week? Any tips you can give?

    If this is ECR skills test you are sitting, I can't remember that much about it, but do remember you definitely need to know your process costing. If you sat the exam in December essentially you need to know what wasn't covered as if its not in the exam its in the Skills Test.<BR><BR>You will also need to be able to do your scarce resource calculations and rank production based on that scarce resource.<BR><BR>Also make sure you know your formula for the various investment appraisal techniques as these are usually tested again. Usually the only thing they ask with regard to IRR is to explain what it is.<BR><BR>Hope this helps. Good luck.<BR><BR>Susan

    Costing-skills test

    I have got my unit 6 skill test on wednesday, and i am not looking forward to it at all. All we have been told to do is the practice simulations from the osbourne books. If anyone has already done it I would be greatful for any new tips.

    Costing-skills test

    I did my costing skills test this morning. It wasn't too bad and covered pretty much what I was expecting. Even so, I did find it a very nerve wracking experience. I managed to finish it in just over 2.5 hours - my hand was aching by then from all the writing and my brain had turned to mush. Apart from that, it was okay. Really dreading the Accounts skills test next month - it's my worst subject!

    Costing-skills test

    I did my skills test this morning. Took me about 3 hours and i now know that i have made a few mistakes (working out contribution, for break even point) i know basic stuff but my brain was shot to bits.<BR><BR>All i can say, if you havent done it yet, and you use osbourne books is "quality candles" !!<BR><BR>Off to get a few beers down me now !!!
