OK, obviously not the sharpest of tools in the box regarding this one, I'm still struggling on the:<BR><BR>Outline the purpose of controls for handling and storing money?<BR><BR>And<BR><BR>What aspects of security need to be considered when banking receipts?<BR><BR>I have looked and re-looked in the books I have but none of this is covered (or at least I canâ??t find it), and where I work is less than helpful.<BR><BR>So all help is greatly appreciated.<BR><BR>Thanks<BR><BR>Nick<BR>

    Handling and storing money<BR><BR>Security your own and the monies. Locked tin or in the safe. What security to do you have when taking cash to the bank? Do you use the overnight bank? Imagine yourself walking through everything you do with cash!<BR><BR>Security when banking receipts?<BR><BR>Cheques are all correct. You've calculated the totals correctly. What security do you use when you're going to the bank? Do you go on your own? Or does someone go with you. How much are you carrying.<BR><BR>Are you carrying loads of cash. If it's too much to fit in a bag can you organise for someone else to carry it for you. someone like Securicor who have security staff and bags, armoured trucks and stuff like that.<BR><BR>Hope i've helped a little.<BR>

    I don't actually have anything to do with banking in my company, thats why I'm a bit clueless, I'm currently in AP and all the banking is done in another part of the country so a bit difficult to find out what is the procedure, and people here (where I work not AAT) are less than helpful it has to be said. And I have not found anything in the books I have that covers thism and it was a supplemental part of my Skills Test so would like to get it right.<BR><BR>Thanks<BR><BR>Nick

    Osbourne Foundation Tutorial discusses this topic fairly well. I seem to remember this usually comes up in central assessments in one of two guises: petty cash system (security of) and banking out of hours.
