HI,<BR>HAS ANYBODY DONE THEIR SKILLS TEST FRO UNIT 6 ECR YET. IF SO WHAT WAS IT LIKE. I HAVE TO TAKE MINE IN A FEW WEEKS AND AM ALREADY PANICKING. I HAVE ALREADY PRACTICED A FEW PAPERS AND FOUND IT QUITE INTENSE. CAN ANYONE HELP.<BR>LOLLYPOPS

    I did it before Christmas and it wasn't too bad. I can remember that you need to know process costing and how to value the unfinished units. There is also a scarce resource question.<BR><BR>Can't remember much more than that, other than to say it wasn't too bad. Make sure you know the various formulas etc.<BR><BR>Hope you get on OK.     Just remembered - you need to be able to know your appraisal techniques and they usually throw in a question where they are asking for a description or IRR. If you can describe it then that is enough, you should not be asked to calculate IRR as I don't think that is covered in the syllabus<BR><BR>Good luck.<BR><BR>Susan<BR>

    Hi, <BR><BR>We did unit 6 before christmas and ours included Break even and margin of safety, there was also a question about apportionment of overheads, and you needed to know the high low theory. oh and there was a question about the bonus system in working out wages.<BR><BR>Hope some of this helps, i think there are more than one simulation for each unit as the other group in our college had something different??<BR><BR>Clare
