Hello All<BR><BR>I was just wandering if anyone was finding DFS difficult?<BR>I am struggling to get to grips with all the FRS and SSAP details<BR>Does any one have a better way of remembering them?<BR><BR>Thanks

    Before I did this exam in December, I wrote down all the SSAP's and FRS on little pieces of paper. Showing the FRS on one side and what it was on the other. I also did this for all the formulas and a couple of deifinitions of things such as an asset/liability. I then put them in a plastic bag and fished them out. SOmetimes I pulled out 'Goodwill' and I had to remember the FRS number. Other times I pulled out the SSAP number and tried to remember what it was. This helped me no end and just before the exams I rote learnt every SSAP/FRS with a little more detail for some of them. e.g. I could quote what goodwill was to a tee.<BR><BR>I passed the exam but I think it was one of the easier ones I have come across.<BR><BR>Pete

    I am in the same boat as you, I failed DFS in Decembr and will be resitting in June. I also struggled with the FRA's and SSAP's.<BR><BR>I took some advice from another member of the forum who suggested writing the FRA's and SSAP's on revision cards. This really helps to learn them. <BR>I am trying to learn one a day, it is difficult with their being so many but you need to persevere.<BR><BR>I also have a good breakdown of each SSAP and FRA which i will forward to you.
