Hi Guys<BR><BR>How do you work out variance at a percentage?<BR>for example<BR>This year £75600<BR>Last Year - £74100<BR><BR>I know the Variance is +£1500<BR><BR>How do I work it out a s a percentage?<BR><BR>please help me I have my sim on tues

    Hi<BR><BR>the method for variance as a percentage is:<BR>1. Subtract last years figure from this years figure.<BR>2. Divide this figure by last years figure.<BR>3. Multiply by 100 to give percentage.<BR><BR>Therefore in your case:<BR>1. 75600 - 74100 = 1500<BR>2. 1500/74100 = 0.020242914 (0.0202 to 4 decimal places)<BR>3. 0.0202 x 100 = 2.02% = variance<BR><BR>Hope this makes sense <BR>
