Hi all<BR>I too am a new member and have a query if anyone is able to help me.<BR><BR>I know we have to put together a portfolio and i have started to collect evidence but my tutor seems to think that it does not need to be done by June when i am taking the exam.<BR><BR>Can anyone shed any further light on the subject for me please.<BR><BR>Also how do i go about collecting evidence if i don't currently work with accounts? <BR>My tutor said ths didn't matter but reading through the portfolio criteria i may find it hard to collect all the data.<BR><BR>Thank you <BR>Cazz

    Hi Cazz<BR><BR>To complete the Foundation level and pass you need to have taken your exam, completed your portfolio and all relevant skills tests. The order these are done in doesn't really matter, but you will not pass until they are all signed off.<BR><BR>If you are not working, then you will find that the skills tests cover a lot of the criteria required, my college provided Q&A's to cover subsequent areas, and although I had work based evidence, if you are able to use Sage or get a cheap copy from Ebay, then the Osborne book - Foundation Accounting 2nd edition Tutorial, has an excellent section at the back for which you need to print invoices/day books etc, and this evidence can be used for units 1-3 and 21. If you do decide to do this, go on the osborne website or ring them and ask for a copy of company.25 file, and they should send you a disk with a company called Pronto supplies on it, which you will need to complete the chapters.<BR><BR>I did a Health & Safety course at my college to complete unit 22, and my college helped out with an appraisal for unit 23. Obviously I did some other things, but I am sure your college must have provided you with homework/tests which you can also put into your porfolio to cover your knowledge and understanding etc.<BR><BR>Good luck, and I am sure you have a lot more evidence than you think.<BR><BR>Tracy
