Hi all
I am desperate to move into accountancy. Iâ??ve completed all the Intermediate papers, apart from one devolved assessment.
I am taking the Technician exam in June for Unit 8 & 9.
I was working as an Admin Assistant for more than one and half years. However my employer provided me some study support but I am willing to leave the job , cause it's not related with accounts.
I saw an advert of an accountancy firm in London www.ptap.co.uk , they offer training for students but charge £980 for 6-months course.
Is anyone heard about them?
How can I get experience in Accounts. Cause most of the employers ask for previous experience.
I am 29 right now and have done A-level.

Please suggest .
Thanks

There are enough employers out there who are prepared to pay for your training that I shouldn't think you would need to work for someone who charges you!

Try recruitment agencies like Hays Accountancy Personnel, Accountancy Additions, Reed Accountancy... To name but a few... They all have websites, so you'll be able to get details from them. They'll help you get a step on the ladder at least.

Good luck!
