I need some help with my portfolio and how to fill in the student record. We have an AAT assessor coming into college next Friday and I'm nervous that he's going to request to see mine.

I have everything split out between the units (1, 2, 3, 4, 21, 22 and 23). I'm using the Osbourne books with the Student Activities in the Tutorial and Workbook. Everything is numbered. There are no witness statements or examples of invoices and purchase orders (I work in the pensions industry and we don't deal with them).

Now that I've waffled on enough, what do I actually need to put in the student record? Would I put the page number and the question the performance criteria relates to, or actual sentences involved?

Any help would be most grately received!

    Hi

You need to include any examples that you have that meet the competance criteria stated on the student record card. You can use the same example if you feel that it covers several subjects. If you feel that you need to copy the questions to ensure that the assessor understands your answers and workings then its worth doing.

All pages must be clearly labelled with page number and it may be helful to include an index. Your student record card then should make clear reference where you have shown your competancy (ie the page numer and a brief description of where you have shown your competancy)

If you are missing some examples ask your tutor to provide some further questions or make up a scenario yourself but get your tutor to check back, just to make sure that you have the right theory.
