Morning everyone, im just preparing to do the June 04 past paper and have seen on the front that it says "you may NOT use programmable calculators". Does this just mean that we cant use those hi-tech calculators or all of them?

I think it means the Sciencetific ones (cant spell) - the Hi Tech ones!!

My calculator I used for PLB was just a plain calculator - the most hi tech thing it had was the % button. The Calculator did wonders - LOL - I passed.

Good luck for June!

Amanda

    No calculator in the exam?

I've always used a scientific one, I think they mean the ones capable of storing text or with graphical displays as I have never had a problem with mine.

Annette

    No calculator in the exam?

My tutor said scientific one's are allowed but the "examiner" will come round and push the reset button. Spose in all fairness it's so it's... fair...

    No calculator in the exam?

i think it would be unwise to ban scientific calculators as the non scientific are pretty worthless no offence, thus everyone heads for there standard scientific calculator.

but i think they are right to ban ones which can store text etc and these are analytical calculators i think
