IBA - 4% WDA Time Apportioned

Hello,<BR><BR>Can anyone please tell me if there are any "hidden" rules that I don't know about for time apportioning WDA on Industrial Buildings. Both my textbooks (BPP & Osborne) say that it must be time apportioned for a CAP shorter than 12 months. But after doing a recent practice exam (either June 04 or Dec 04) I time apportioned for a 6 month CAP, but it was incorrect and shouldn't have been time apportioned at all and the assessor's report said that most people got that wrong.     hi try again. just answered your post but spelt a word wrong by typing quick and it said i had a word not allowed, had missed a letter out so then it wouldnt let me correct it and post it!!!<BR><BR>not sure on the question involved but is it that the first year for iba, the building could be used on the last day of the cap for the first time, is eligible for 4% ( like first year cap allowances) at full, then time apportion for second part of cap if shorter?<BR><BR>not sure if i am correct but think thats right.
