Joyride:

I got this too. It was definately to 2 decimal places. Forst off icalculated thje second product as 47% as I used the break even units for Product B, thank god I realised the mistake!0 -

Does anyone know the marking scheme and what questions were worth what marks?0 -

omg i must be blind i effed that question up. and the marginal percentage written question, i just wrote nonsense.

my tutur told me to not expect to see a stock card and that 2 service departmens would be used for the allocation, apportionment thingy.liesssssssssssssssssssss0 -

joyride:

Your close with your answer but the question stated to 2 decimal places so it should have been 16.67% and 23.08%0 -

I hated the written questions :-(
I hope I managed to waffle for long enough on the last memo.

I had a horrible feeling they were gonna change the exam format.

On the limiting factors question I know i got 450k but everyone on here seems to have got a negative 450k.. I dont think mine negative???

typical you revise all the stock control formula's and none of it came up. I even had some corkers for the advantages and disadvantages of FIFO and LIFO and nothing.

I think the tutors talking to their imaginary examiner friends to be honest!!!0 -

Not to sure of FRA. I miss out silly things. Probably start Technician in January 06 and have a bit of a break. I'm going it as Home Study so its quite flexible. Probably look to start the project in September 05 though.0 -

I agree with your comment on memos. No one in my class likes them - period.
Typical isn't it, all the revision on minimum/maximum/re-order levels/EOQ, Process Costing, double entry on things like direct costs to WIP, indirect costs to Production O/Head account, benefits/drawbacks on Fifi/Lifo, and not one question.

Everyone was convinced there would be something on Process costing. So much for tutors going to meet the new examiner!!0 -

Limiting factors, margin of safety and breakeven stuff and stupid memos. I hate them.

im quite surprised that they have actually test quite a bit0 -
who passed?
Yeah I'm fairly confident and I hate costing. Much prefer FRA. The downside is that if it's a green light in August, then Technician starts on 01 Sep and that's five exams next year plus a project!! Out of the frying pan into the fire...........................0 -
who passed?
not me..................
What stupid mistakes I did, well there December to take the exam again!!!

0 -

seem to have the same answers of the majority so fingers crossed. How do you think you've done???0 -
who passed?
i got the margin of safety question at something like 20% and 30%
I took it as the %age 'over the breakeven point'.the had been achieved
So 80,000 and 210,000

Should it have been the %age differance from the 'actual' output then???
Which is why u all seem to have 16.67 and 23%?
0
