what is all this talk of 'leaks'?
Wasn't really any leaks, people were commenting on a variety of peoples comments on what would and wouldn't be on the paper. I think Accounting Technician magazine mentioned Backwards Variances and as such that became a major topic on here cos no one knew what they were. I check this forum regularly and I've not seen any confirmed leaks as to this is definately or definately not on the paper.

Another 'leak' was what was published by FTC on their website which you can check out on http://www.financial-training.com/products/media/aat/AAT_June05_exam_tips.doc its at the bottom of the document.

Hope this helps but no official 'leaks' as to exactly what was on the paper more hearsay (pure and simple do de do) and speculation.0 -
what is all this talk of 'leaks'?
Hi, what I think has happened (there was a post from the AAT Deputy Examinations Manager) is that some students sitting the exam abroad had posted some info re what was on the paper on these boards. Obviously, at this time the AAT will monitor very closely what gets posted in case there are any leaks. It seems that the AAT do not hold the exams concurrently in different time zones, i.e. those sitting abroad will sit before/after the UK depending on the time zone.

There won't be any leaks at all as the AAT monitor very closely what gets posted during exam time and will remove any posts which "leak" exam info.
0 -

In fact it was me that I mentioned the details of the exam I attended, but I didn't mean it and didn't think about the time differences, so I a bologize for my mistake.0 -

You can rest again Hussain, although I do admire your honesty.

These 'leaks' were on the forum over a month ago and again more recently, about a week ago, and related to tips published in a magazine. From what I understand the same information could have been gleened from any other magazine making predictions or any tutor attending one of the master classes. I think most tutors took it with a pinch of salt and although ours did devise some additional exercises for us we did not feel at any advantage yesterday.
In fact my tutor told me to stop looking at the forums as he thought the postings were causing unnecessary panic. I spent far too long on the 'backwards variances' predictions, which in the event were extremely straight forward, and not enough time analysing.

0
