ECR - How well did you do? under recovery!!!

Im fairly confident about the whole paper apart from the UNDER RECOVERY question where i waffled on about something else.. marginal V absorption! (i now know its just under absorption) and my NPV memo was a bit ropey!...<BR><BR>What do reckon PASS or FAIL? how did it go for you?

    reckon u will have passed if thats all u had probs with pass rate is normal 60 - 70%

    Atleast I have someone who has done the under-recovery as marginal v/s absorption. That is what I thought because the question followed immediately after the m/c and a/c which sounded more logical than the under absorption. I still cannot work my head around it that it was not marginal and absorption but just under-absorption. Anyway, I totally goofed up with the MOS explanation. Could not think of anything. Also the one on report of investment appraisal, said the 2 commercial factor as residual and the effect on other products. I hope the 1st one atleast is right. I know the calculation bit I was ok with but the memos and explanation, man it was too much for my liking and here i was thinking had done all the memos during the skills test. not to forget the 0000s<BR><BR>stella<BR>

    PASS - I think. Think I got the majority right apart from the fact I didn't go to two decimal places on the NPV question.<BR><BR>What did you put down as your two commercial factors that might affect the investment appriasal?

    I couldnt stand dealing with all those 000000s.<BR>I also waffled on about M.O.S. i think i may have hanged myself on that bit. <BR>but overall i think i did ok, i hope i did ok. <BR>i didnt like the memo bit but new it was most probably gonna come up with doing the past papers but hey i tried my best. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"><BR>i hope everyone else has done well. <BR><BR>Laura <BR> xxx

    under recovery ! I left the question blank as I had no idea what it was meant to be, untill I had a look in the book last night. Did a lot of other little silly mistakes....so I think I will be re sitting this exam.. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0">

    i know, under recovery (?) threw me abit so i just waffled on about some rubbish hoping to pick up a few marks!!!<BR><BR>i made a lot of silly mistakes aswell, i'll be VERY surprised if i passed so i think i'll be re-sitting!!!!

    I put:<BR><BR>- Would it have affected any sales figures for the other products being sold (competition)<BR>- Were there any other cash flows after year 3<BR>- Did the products have any residual value<BR><BR>I waffled on about that Under recovery overheads too!!!!!<BR><BR>Why didn't they just put 'Explain under absorption' !!! I could of answered that in 2 seconds!!!!!<BR><BR>Anyone else feel the same?<BR><BR>

    <BR>having got square eyes from reading most of the chat lines in the 8 pages ;-) ...i can see that most thought the same way, myself included. i recon i passed as i think i only had a problem with that one question..(and i think i went a bit hay wire with the converting the contribution/unit to a percentage - or something like that at the end of one of the boxed in section 2).<BR><BR>i think we'll do much better than we think for this one...at least im confident about one exam!
