Can I just say that to all of you out there who are sitting BOTH exams this week;

R E S P E C !!!!

One is bad enough but 2?! How the hec have you managed to revise for both in one week? I'm on Distance Learning so time is limited but I must admit I was (naively) going to attempt FRA and ECR for this June, then move on to Technician for this Dec and next June. Any of you any regrets about doing the 2 this week or have you done the right thing? I'll be very interested to see how you all do, I'm reasonably confident about FRA tomorrow but ECR sounds more difficult so I'm kinda glad I'm only doing the one. But, I admire everyone doing the 2, well done whatever the results!

Tim

Tim

This week has ben fine so far. I seem to be in the minority when I say that I have found both the simulations and one exam easy so far.

Along with the ECR and FRA exams this week, I also had my ECR simulation last Friday, so I've been of work since Thursday revising for ECR. I have today spent looking over old papers for FRA but find this unit easier as it is a continuation of last years subjects.

How do you find distance learning? I'm thinking about it for next year for Technician level as i can't stand going to college every Monday and Wednesday 5.30pm-9.15pm!!!

Regards
Elliott0 -

I found the exam easy too Elliott, having read all the posts i was getting concerned that i must have messed up as i finished it within an hour and thought the papers was far easier than the past 3.
But from the answers posted (although there are a few different answers for some questions) i think i did ok. I found the skills test (which i sat in April) a lot harder than the exam, but found all the questions straightforward. My problem is silly mistakes.
Oh well, will find out in august i guess for certain. Untill then, i am getting cracking on technician.
Just FRA to sit tomorrow, but i dont have any concerns (yet) i think unless they throw in something totally out of the blue, it should be ok.

0 -

If I could go back in time, I would definitely have sat the FRA in December to get it out of the way, so just had the one exam to concentrate on now. It has made me think seriously about doing any further courses via my local college - think I would prefer to have more control over what I did and when. So will be looking at distance learning for the future.

My concerns with distance learning has always been that I would have no-one to discuss my problems with, but now I know this site is here that kinda does away with that problem.0 -

I have found Distance Learning suits me fine. I work from home anyway so I find it easy to fit studies in with normal daily activities. However, if you're not used to being at home to work, or if you intend to do Distance Learning as well as a full-time job and use evenings and weekends as study time, then you have to really discpline yourself! Distance Learning though does give you more control over when and how you study. I must admit Elliot that I wouldn't want to be comitted to attending college 2 evenings a week! On the other hand, there is the element of feeling a little isolated, it's all very well having a 'personal tutor' assigned to you but that's never going to be the same as an on-the-spot one-to-one with a tutor in a class, nor do you have that interacting with other students. But you are right lynn, this forum and others like it do provide some very useful interactivity. Shaz, are you doing all Technician units for December? I'd be very interested to know if you think it's possible in 6 months.

Tim0
