Can anyone help me please?....<BR><BR>Im stuck on Task 1.1 where on the suggested answers it says:<BR><BR>Goodwill arising<BR> on consolidation 4,000<BR><BR>I dont know where you get this figure of 4,000 from?<BR><BR>I know it must be something right in my face but i just cant see it ;-)

You're right - it is right in front of your face.<BR><BR>The Capital & Reserves total £22,680<BR>The Consideration is £26,680<BR><BR>Therefore the difference is the Goodwill i.e. £4,000<BR><BR>Scott.
