yeah for PCR, iv got the osbourne books but i havent had much time to look through them as i am at work, i just saw on another post that this was one thing that may be on, i might have got my words mixed around, but do you know what it means anyway?<BR><BR>thanks0 -
Product cycle life???
If you look over the life of a product it goes through a number of phases.<BR>When it is introduced to the market it can take a little time to take off, if it succeeds expansion and sales growth can be very rapid (see model B from Dec 2003 PCR regression formula) then sales growth continues at a steadier rate and can even level out so there is little growth (called maturity) and then the product can enter decline.<BR>I'm sure google would find you a diagram of the stages in the PLC but this is a thumbsketch.<BR><BR>What is important for forecasting is that if the product in question has been going through rapid expansion and sales growth of 50-80% per year there is every reason to think future sales growth will not be at this rate. Think of mobile phones with cameras. <BR><BR>Does this help?<BR><BR>0 -

It's the stages in a product's life. Intro, Growth, Maturity, Saturation and decline. I think this could be in the exam in realtion to a product which has a rapid growth and then kind of fizzled out. Thats the sort of thing thats been hinted at.... <BR><BR>Hope this helps0 -
