Hi Sandy<BR><BR>I have a PCR question please.<BR>In December 04 past exam, section 1, materials had to be re-scheduled due to a constraint of 60000 litres in any one period. I understand the technique for re-scheduling, but wondered if the re-scheduling could be done anyway as long as the same production amount was established and surplus amounts were being used for shortages.<BR><BR>EG in Decembers, period 3 was re-scheduled to period 2 and period 4 to periods 2 and 1.<BR>Could say period 4's be rescheduled to period 1 and so on if this produces the same production amount required. In the question it said materials had to be used in period purchased. Would this be done in either case?????<BR><BR>thankyou v much

    the re-scheduling can only take place over the set time periods that it tells you it may say you can order more in the ? number or periods e.g if you were short in period 3 but you were allowed to order surplus in period 1 to cover the amount then thats fine but if it states that you can only order surplus in the precceding month then thats all you can do<BR>hope this helps a little
