Hi Sandy<BR><BR>I have a PCR question please.<BR>In December 04 past exam, section 1, materials had to be re-scheduled due to a constraint of 60000 litres in any one period. I understand the technique for re-scheduling, but wondered if the re-scheduling could be done anyway as long as the same production amount was established and surplus amounts were being used for shortages.<BR><BR>EG in Decembers, period 3 was re-scheduled to period 2 and period 4 to periods 2 and 1.<BR>Could say period 4's be rescheduled to period 1 and so on if this produces the same production amount required. In the question it said materials had to be used in period purchased. i understood the key point in the question was reschedule to be made as late as possible this means that the first period has the minimum rescedule. there always seems to be some key point in the wording of the questions and if you don't spot it you can easily fall into the trap of missing it alltogether. ....speaks from past faliure this will be my 2nd attempt at pcr good luck for tomorrow0 -
