I got so much wrong, i dont know where my head was that day, i didnt put the car into capital, i was really confused about that as i wasnt sure if it was meant to be a fixed asset as it wasnt purchased by the company so in the TB i put it in and out of Fixed Assets, dont ask why!! was never taught about FRS's and SSAP's so didnt learn them. think my last journal in section 2 was wrong, i took net and vat out of opening stock when i think it was just the net supposed to be taken out of opening stock and put into purchases, so that means my net profit would have been wrong. some people have been talking about the interest on capital, and how it should be £750 for kim and ted and £500 for Dan, i put £750 for all 3 of them!! my deciptive questions are all a pile of rubbish, i just dont know how i am gonna be able to cope next year if i have gotta retake these exams as well as sit the technician exams!!

    i am trying not to worry, just i cant help thinking that i havent made massively huge mistakes, so if i do fail (which i think i will) i will know that there might not have been much in it!! i think this is harder than if u know u didnt put much effort in or u struggled with most of the questions

    I have stayed in once on a friday night to do college work, I ended up texting all night as every1 mithers to get me out calling me boring....so it doesn't work....I think i prioritise my social life more than I should, and feel it will have to change as things get harder...never mind eh<BR><BR>Finishing work now so will prob drop a line on here tmoz<BR>

    Oh right, well Im sure you will end up in your original post whenever things shift around or something,<BR><BR>I think I might have to go to Manchester Met or something to do Technician, my college now doesn't offer it.<BR><BR>how do you find the whole juggling social life, study life and work life thing?

    aye, but if the job was my substantive post and not just a secondment, then Id be on more money!!! guess im just being greedy now!!! GIVE ME TH MONEY!!!<BR>can't grumble, only 21 and doing OK!<BR>Yea, im looking at doing CIMA too. Am hoping to go to the FTC in Brum next year for Technician level, just got to convince the bosses its worth the money it costs!

    Yea? Im expected to do CIMA...<BR><BR>Well you must be doing a good job at it then if your still in the position, its not exactly wise to pipe up and express your dissatisfaction considering the benefits of money, training and closeness to home, well not untill your qualified anyway? but then again like you said it could affect your learning in that it might not be as relevant?

    i have been seconded into this post since October 2003!!!! Its a joke, am waiting for the job to be advertised so I can interview! so, over a year and a half now!<BR>its either that or leave to go elsewhere now Ive got experience, but money is ok fro trainee and 5 mins from home!!<BR>errr, that would be interesting....i don't spose they'd let him become a full member??<BR>a couple of people here are at various stages, one guy is in second year of CIPFA and another is doing CIMA.

    I don't think it will make too much difference, although a guy I work with is taking his technician exams for the 1st time and he feels confident about passiing them and he took his3rd resit at the FRA yesterday and doesn't feel as confident....so in theory he could pass technician b4 intermediate if this is possible?<BR><BR>How much experience have you got with receivables (sales ledger)?

    I work on management accounting side of things within a company so I never deal with most of the FRA stuff but for some reason I find this easier, I think I might have to diversify my career.<BR><BR>And yourself?

    there is indeed...however, i fear they have a grip on you already....you're being negative!!!!<BR>so do you work in practice or accounts dept in a co.?<BR>ive found that it makes a difference on my course, especially with FRA, those in a practise seem to breeze it!

    good!!!! fabulously fantastic!!! i sometimes feel that Im too loud for everyone in my office? or did they all start out with a sense of humour and just get institutionalised??? I REFUSE - they will have to take me down kicking and screaming before I stop being the cheeky mare in the office! :-)

    I also gave then £750 each for Interest on captial. It did state 3% on balance at the year end.. which was 25K for all 3 partners. I did as the question asked.<BR><BR>Andy

    Its ok I feel for you. This was my 1st Inter exam I know some1 who took this for the 3rd time. It was HARD. The previous papers were a lot easier. <BR><BR>FRS18? That came out of nowhere. The leases and I also didnt put vehicle into capital. I lost my head yday.

    i am glad i am not the only 1 that found it hard, i think i will be able to handle it is i fail this exam and have 2 retake in dec, but not if i have 2 retake both FRA and ECR, that would be a nightmare!!

    Personally I think the waiting is the worst bit. I think I could handle it better if I knew the results now - and also if there were more opportunities to take the exams (rather than having to wait until December).<BR><BR>Knowing now that I had to do a re-take, but could do it next month wouldn't be too bad.<BR><BR>Having to wait until August to know the outcome, and then having to wait another 4 months before doing the re-sit is much more difficult.<BR><BR>(Patience is not my strongest virtue - lol!)

    Don't be too hard! I couldn't sit my 3rd Attempt due to illness and find it very very frustrating having to<BR>wait another 6 months!<BR><BR>If worst comes to worse you can do both sets of exams, but this personally didn't work for me <BR>due to heavy work load and home life! so needless to say I have finished my final year but still<BR>need to sit the exams which I have decided to do one at a time rather than 2 or 3 in one go!<BR><BR>I think it is very hard for anybody to study work full time and sit more than one exam at a time<BR>so Hats and coats and everthing off to those students who manage it!<BR><BR>Keep Smiling! after all you may very well of passed!<BR><BR>xx<BR>

    Well I'm glad I made somebody smile, the thing I dont like is the sterotyping that accountants get....I know for sure I am the complete opposite and aim to set a new standard of better 1's....any similar ppl out there?

    Sounds good, I would love to do some long distance travelling like that when I'm full qual.<BR><BR>Not had a bad weekend, pretty much the usual, town on Fri and Sat nights and chilled on Sun in prep for Monday, <BR><BR>Did you not like the college you studied at then? I thought mine was good but I have to move to the technicians as they dont offer that course, gutted or what!<BR><BR>Not long till your big weekend ahead, Im sure that will definitely help you forget about AAT. And if it doesn't then there has to be something wrong.<BR><BR>I don't even want to talk about AAT until September, you got any holidays planned for the summer then?<BR>

    I went Malia last year.... , can't wait to go back! had such a laugh, weather was lovely, the people were cool and the nightlife is just excellent! U'll have a fab time.! Don't have one bad thing to say about it..<BR>Enjoy !!

    I have heard really good things about it, a few of the lads we goin with went last yr and they said it was gr8, hence the reason for going back and dragging us lot with em...when are you due to go back this yr then?
