We have just completed the Foundation Level using the Osbourne books and we all found them really usefull. If you buy the tutorial book and the workbook you can work through the theory and then test yourself with the workbook.

They make quite straight forward reading for study outside class hours. They also contain mock exams and simulations although our group found that they do tend to be a slightly different format from the actual AAT simulations and exam.
We questioned this with an AAT representative who explained that when Osbourne release their books they have to 'second guess' how the AAT will present their papers, so although they cover the criteria, they can't be expected to be 'spot on' with the presentation etc.

In addition to the Osbounre books your lecturer will probably provide you with past simulations which will familiarise you with the layouts required, so coupled with the Osbourne books you should be ok.

In addition you can buy them from the books publishers website Osbourne books www.osbornebooks.co.uk, but they charge £3 delivery. You can spread the cost by ordering them one at a time with free delivery from www.play.com. They are also normally 50p per book cheaper!

Hope this helps.

TLL
