Batch Control (again)

Morning,<BR><BR>I know i asked Tracy yesterday what Batch Control is but i dont really get it. Would it be right if i said batch control is the grouping of documents such as invoices, credit notes, expenses then totalling them and inputting them into the ledgers as a whole figure?<BR><BR>Chris.

    Nah. I mean sure. Its basically grouping all of the documents together. e.g all the expenses, sales invoices and everything else and entering them as one figure (hence BATCH). It can be done daily, weekly, monthly. It only mainly happens in big business where they make crap loads of sales and make crap loads of purchases. so instead of entering each document one by one, its easy to do it all together.<BR><BR>Chris.
