Anyone know what the relationship between the accounting system and the ledger is?<BR><BR>Chris.

    Does that mean that when you enter something in one place eg.the cash book (or bank) that it automatically posts it to the correct account in the main ledger?<BR><BR>Sorry if that is a thick answer!!

    I think thats right.<BR><BR>In sage, when you pay an invoice, it will automatically deduct the amount paid from the purchase ledger, to reduce your creditors balance... the same applies to receipts for sales invoices.
