Is this the case? I know it is different for all colleges though.

After hopefully finishing AAT, i am not going to continue studying accounts as i have not enjoyed this course but i would probably like to do something in Payroll as i do this now at work and i love it.

Any advice or tips would be grateful

If you do auditing and cash/credit management these are devolved not central assessments - and looking at previous threads the cash management is very easy - then you are left with only 2 external exams to do, and the project of course.

I think that we all get worked up about exams, you are not the only one.

Good luck with whatever you decide
Hi

just to follow on from claudialowe, unfortunately there are actually 3 exams (1 for financial statements and 2 costing/budgeting/forecasting papers)

As for it being different for all colleges, the assessment is actually stimpulated by the AAT so there wont be much variation in assessment.

If you have problems with exams, try doing them one per sitting, interspacing them with skills tests/devolved assessments. A grood revision course is also advisable for confidence.

Neil

Hi I from my own experiance exams freak me out as well I found that doing up to 4 exams daunting so I selected to do just 2 this time around and I will sit 2 in December (if I pass). It allowed me to concentrate my efforts into just a couple of areas. This helped me a lot I did not feel as stressed out of as some of my fellow students. Of course it depends on your time (mine was limited with having a job plus family commitments). If you are not in any hurry doing it in "bite sized " portions gains your confidence because you have more time on each subject. It was suggested to me by tutours I have a practice at all of them but I stuck to my own agenda. I kinda veiw technician level as full time crammed into part time teaching hours.
Good luck whatever your decision.

Thanks everyone for your advice. It looks like it could be an action packed year so i may spread it out over 2 years. I have no ruch as i am only 19 and i think it will benefit me more if i really understand the subject, instead of just revising to pass an exam.

Thanks again to all of you for taking time to answer my questions!
