Got a weird question here. "what occupations (other than ministers of religion) would be exmept from the sex discrimination act"?<BR><BR>Midwife maybe?<BR><BR>Chris.

    Have you tried looking on the web? There must be a government site about it which will probably list the exemptions.

    Yeah ive tried looking it up but cant seem to find anything. Its driving me mad!! i must of asked about 30 people today and no one can think of any. But for them to ask me, there has to be something.

    Try looking at www.pfc.org.uk, they have the full text of the 1975 Sex Discrimination Act, or www.eoc.org.uk, they are the equal opportunities commission.

    Personal care assistants that work in the clients own home can be exempt from the sex discrimination act (you often see it mentioned in adverts in newspapers) also - wedding dress shop assistants. Must be something to do with the personal nature of the job (i.e. seeing women half dressed etc). Hope that helps, its all I can think of at the moment.
