So my curiosity got the better of me and I downloaded the FRA paper and worked through a question I was unsure about. So my net profit of 101,950 must be wrong as I somehow added to sales figure instead of subracting what a dufus- fetch me a dime bar! Pretty sure my journal was correct just a bit long winded which probably made me make the mistake.<BR><BR>Lesson of the day must check that answers make sense - a simple check and I would have seen it was stupid!!! <BR><BR>Ah well all these reports of people finishing has made me more determined to stop winging to myself and get my head down for the next module and get all my portfolio as far as I can. So thanks for the encouragement.

    i remember getting 101950<BR><BR>What have you done wrong to get it? I have downloaded the questions to work though again.<BR><BR>I know I cant change anything - roll on August.<BR><BR>So what are you doing now - Unit / Level.<BR><BR>Amanda

    I'm doing ECR - well I will be when I get out of my I'm on holiday mood. Working through it again my journal for the sales correction was:<BR><BR> <BR>DR Sales 2350 <BR>CR Suspense 2350<BR>DR Suspense 2000<BR>CR Sales 2000<BR>DR Suspense 2000<BR>CR SLCA 2000<BR>DR SLCA 2350<BR>CR Suspense 2350<BR><BR>Phew! Very long winded and could have made it much simpler I know but it gives the same answer as debit sales 350, debit SLCA 350 credit suspense 700.<BR><BR>But when I looked at the starting sales figure I must have taken 585,700 and added 2350 then taken away 2000 instead of the other way round. This gives starting figure of 586,050 and net profit of 101,950. I feel confused by that even if you don't!!!<BR><BR>However you seem really clever to me so I'm happy if you got that as I'm sure we have both done enough either way. Its so easy to get drawn into wanting to know the answers - Its very pathetic I know but I hate waiting.<BR><BR>

    Ahh I see what I have done now!!<BR><BR>Its stupid mistakes like that I hope we dont get loads of marks for!!<BR><BR>Oh well, we can only wait.<BR><BR>Im suppose to be doing Unit 7 and then 6 ready for December sittings.<BR><BR>I cant get to pick up the book!!! Looks like i might have to do Unit 6 first, then move onto unit 7.<BR><BR>I go away in 9 weeks, so Im like YEAH and just need to pick that book UP!! after the holiday I will end up with weeks of Im on holiday mood too.<BR><BR>Amanda

    Yep I seem to spend ages working out the tough bits then mess up my 2 + 2. But hopefully method is the key - well my mentor says so and with no marks off for carried forward mistakes we must be 90% there with the answer.<BR><BR>Good luck with the book opening mine is near the sofa so its a start, I might go mad and even open it later. At least I can stop pointlessly wondering about results if I get into the next load of work.<BR><BR>
