I have been offered a position which is "basically a quick books set up and wef"<BR><BR>Can anybody tell me what wef means please?

    Hi, Mandarin.<BR><BR>I did a quick Google search and most of the uses of wef are in the format <i><b>wef 01/09/1999</b></i>. Therefore, it's my guess it stands for <b><i>with effect from</i></b>.<BR><BR>I may be wrong, but check the context. There may be a "with effect from DDMMYY you will have to . . ."<BR><BR>Alternatively, it may be you have to make adjustments based on the "wef" conditions.<BR><BR>Hope this helps, but if anyone knows ant different, I would be very interested.<BR><BR>Mike

    Wef also means World Express Freight. Freights are massive parcels which are transported between airports, imported and exported. <BR><BR>Could be the documents that support the movement.<BR><BR>Hope this helps if applies to the job if in that type of industry.<BR><BR>Vickie

    In my exp. it mean "with effect from".
