Do you have to pay a fee every year to the AAT for membership. I think I paid £77 last year

    There is the initial joining fee plus a yearly membership fee. Mine was £55 annual memebrship this year.

    Thanx for that. The course works out to be quite expensive when you add all the exam fees, skills test, books etc. But guess it's worth it in the end

    Try speaking to your local college about the course. Our college runs the modern apprenticeship scheme. If you are employed in accountingfor more than 13 hours a week, including college time, then you get it all paid for. That's our college, anyway, so it'[s worth asking.
