Did anyone sit the DFSL paper in June?<BR><BR>Was wondering how people found it,and what there thoughts were<BR><BR>Cheers

    DFSL (Local Goverment Paper)

    From what I understand, Last year around 90 people sat the DFSL papers in the whole country, and 30 of them were at my college ;-)<BR><BR>I must admit I froze to begin when I saw the consolodated revenue account, as I had not REALLY revised that topic as it had not appeared for about 10 years of exams, but I THINK it was ok in the end. It was a little strange that there was no debt in the council, and as such no Actual Interest to include in the AMRA<BR><BR>The None-distributive costs in a local government (q1.4) was a total guess for me. My thought pattern was along the lines of what costs could be incurred but not attributed to a specific Directorate, and came with the thought of Members costs and election costs, as they are not directoraste specific but a COUNCIL expence<BR><BR>I guessed a lot of 1.5 answer, I have a vague idea but after Monday's PEV exam my brain was totally fried and a lot of info I think had fallen out on the way to the exam, I must go back and see if I can find it on the road ;-)<BR><BR>1.6-1.9 was happy with this topic, consortium accounts are just like partnership accounts really, and thats part of my favourite type of questions<BR><BR>I almost whooped for joy seeing section 2. I LOVE this type of question, with the ratio analysys etc<BR><BR>All in all I think it will be touch and go to pass because of some of the guess work in section 1 I had to do, but all I can do is wait and see, I am not stressing about the results at all............................yet ;-)<BR><BR>But Good Luck to you and everyone come that faitfull day in August

    Good luck to you awell<BR><BR>My general feeling is the same as you "touch and go" section one wasnt too bad, but like you i guessed in one or two areas, section 2 was good as it was generally simliar to the dec paper. <BR><BR>All i can do is wait now :-)<BR><BR>All the best<BR><BR>S<BR><BR>
