I have been on the CIMA website and registered and will be taking exams in Novemeber, AAT students can be exempt for the full 1st stage of CIMA, does anyone know how likely this is that they will grant all exemptions. The study courses for the 2nd level of CIMA start around the 20th of August at FTC and BPP so i will not know my exemptions this early and will miss out. I dont know anyone else doing CIMA that i can talk to about it so would be grateful for any advice.

Thanks,
Fiona

If you have passed technician you will be exempt from the first stage of CIMA. Presumably you are awaiting your exam results? If this is the case you can get AAT to forward on your technician certificate direct to CIMA so that you can apply to take exams in November by the deadline (end of August I believe).

Good luck with your studying.0 -
AAT exemptions CIMA
yeah i am awaiting my results and hopefully i will have passed, i just havent seen it anywhere on the website where CIMA definatly give all exemptions for the first level, i dont want to end up booking a study course with FTC or BPP and CIMA turn round and say i have to do any exams from the 1st level, do you know if it is 100% certain i will get exempt from the 1st level for having AAT tech?
0 -

I'm sure that's right providing you've passed everything including the project etc but if you have any worries call Cima to check.0
