I did both tax options and there is a certain amount of overlap between the two (you could look at this two ways either a help or a hindrance as some of the rules are different....) Various people on this forum have said that cash management is a cinch and dead easy but no personal experience - if it is as easy as people say then that might be your best option to try and do it all in a year, but depends on what you want to do afterwards.

Hope this helps a bit.

I did my technician in a year, we did PCR and PEV in December, CMCC in January and DFS, BTC and PTC in June, followed by the project. We did cash management in 4 weeks and each of the taxes in 6 weeks but it was really hard going. After our year, they didn't do 3 options again!! Cash management is easy, tax is much harder but as Claudia says, they do overlap somewhat. I work in practice and have found all units have had some use to me. I feel at a loss because I have never had anything to do with audit, but I don't want to study that one as well!!

The choice is yours, I got away with not much homework for foundation and intermediate but you do need to follow up college work with technician simply due to the speed of going through it. I got myself in with other students who had a study group and we studied at each others houses once a week in the run up to exams - that really helped.

Don't leave the project too late though, I had to rush to get it done to join ACCA.

Annette
