Distance Learning

    Hi

I study via home study for foundation and intermediate with Premier Training.
www.premiertraining.co.uk
I dont think intermediate is any harder, When you started foundation did you think it was difficult? Do you think its easy now? Thats the same with Intermediate. Once you know then its easy.
With Home Study you read the books (ring if problem) work through the activites and then do your assignments and return to college. Then practice some skills tests from your book and return for marking. When you and college think you are ready you can then send off for your skills tests to be done under supervision. Your supervisor can be your employer but not a family member. Then your skills test comes back marked and extra questions to cover all the portfolio critea.
Everything is posted to college and then returned - you do have to pay for postage - but i send everything though work.
When its central exam time - do some practice ones for marking etc then you sit the exam at the local college that accepts external students.
Home study is not difficult at all if you set yourself targets and do them - you have to study to get the qualification as you know. You only have yourself to blame.

I find premier really good as a home study provider. Emails are always answered quickly with help sheets and advice when needed. My phone calls have Always been answered and if my tutor not available then there is others to talk too, (only missed tutor once as it was 7.58pm lol) there is 2 late evenings to 8pm (or 7.58pm) They use Osbourne books which i really like using.

If there is anything else you wish to know - let me know and i will be glad to answer!

Amanda
