Gemz of course you can still do it!! Do you remember how you felt at the beginning of your course, when you felt a bit nervy maybe that you might not manage? You still did the course!! In your heart of hearts, you still wanted to do the exam and the (blooming!) portfolios, and you have - I definately think you should carry on. I am waiting on ECR Intermediate results and feel just like you at the moment - EVERYONE gets worried this close to exam results!!

As a great book once said..."DON'T PANIC!"

Of course you can still do it and I don't want to be brutal but you will regret it big time if you don't. I started AAT when I was 18 and gave it up after 18 months because not only did I find it too difficult at the time but everyone in my class seemed to be a lot older than me. Boy did I regret it when I hit 23. I took it up again, qualified in 2001 and then went through ACCA which I passed early in 2005. My only regret is that I didn't qualify when I was younger. It was all bloody hard work, sometimes even getting to the point where I thought I was cracking up. I don't think I'm the only qualified accountant that can honestly hold my hand on my heart and say I understand just exactly what you lot are going through waiting for your results - I know it is total agony. My advice to you is keep at it even if you fail this time it ain't the end of the world there's always December and the studying process is one where there are bound to be ups and downs (certainly more downs in my experience) but you get up and you carry on. When (not if) you qualify you will find (like I did) despite the sheer hard work, sweat and blood that you've put into all - you don't regret one minute of it. You would regret a lifetime of it if you gave up. Stick at it - it's well worth it in the end.

Good luck to you and all of you for Tuesday - and remember whatever Tuesday brings be it good or bad it's Tuesday 16th August - not the end of the world.

Best regards
Steve

Dont worry, im in pretty much the same boat as you. Im 19, looking to move out very soon and trying to study and work full time. Its difficult but at the end you'll look back and be thankful you stuck to it. Just gotta keep your head up and look to the future when you'll be rolling in it!!!! If you dont try you'll never know if you would have succeeded or not. If you dont pass its no the end of the world.

Chris.

Any news yet? Dont be too hard on yourself - its not the end of the world if you didn't pass - you can take it again. All the very best - and who knows - by now you may have done it!
