I've been trying to fill in the online registration form for ACCA before the deadline of tomorrow, but have come up with a few queries, can anyone help...

1) When asked to select the Law and Tax Variant I assume this is "English" if living, studying and working in the UK?

2) For Paper 2.2 it asks if you wish to attempt the "Global" paper. Not sure whether to say yes to this, or whether to just do the "English". Any comments would be very gratefully accepted

3) For the Accounting and Auditing Stream, have a choice of "National" or "International". Should I chose "National" if living and working in the UK?

Sorry if appearing to be dumb, should have looked into this earlier but have had a sudden change of circumstances which has left me struggling to do this at the last minute.

Would be very grateful if anyone who has completed the registration for ACCA could help.

Thanks, Lynn

ACCA Registration... Help Needed
Hi

You're right to choose English for tax and law. For paper 2.2 (Business Law) you are probably best to choose English. You can if you want choose the global paper. The difference is that the English version covers English Law but the global paper covers general principles that are common globaly and the law relating to international trade. I believe the global paper was introduced for countries the ACCA doesn't produce a specific paper for.

As for the Accounting and Auditing stream, it really depends on where you are working and what you are doing. Some companies now have to account within international standards, but other can still use the national versions. Also, how will you study for ACCA? Some providers only offer one or the other.

Neil0 -
ACCA Registration... Help Needed
Hi Neil

Thanks for your help.

I was going to study AAT Technician level but I went for an interview with a company last week who are prepared to fund the ACCA training.

I just wanted to get registered as Papers 1.1 and 1.2 don't look too daunting and hopefully would be able to sit these in December but don't know what training provider I will be using as yet.

Do you know if there is an option to change your preferences with ACCA after this initial registration is completed?

This is all such bad timing... need to get registered but don't want to get it wrong!

Lynn0 -

ACCA Registration... Help Needed
Hi,
I hope everything goes well for your registration as I registered online on Thursday but was told by very helpful lady on ACCA telephone that they still needed all supporting documentation by Monday if i wanted to sit exams in December 2005.
I rang as they said they need some copies of passport pages for ID purposes but as I am at my parents house I didn`t have my passport. Luckily for me my drivers licence and drivers ID card would suffice ( I had those with me as I got done for speeding and had bought them with me to my parents to complete the forms ect - first time I was glkad to be caught speeding!!!!)
Good luck,
Sarah0
