?? I was quite confident about this one. Has anyone else failed this? I am going to appeal but does anyone know how long the decision can take?

I'VE GOT THE APPEAL FORM AND THE DEADLINE IS SEPT 21ST AND THEY SAY TO REGHISTER TO RESIT BUT LET THEM KNOW U R APPEALING - AND THE DEADLINE FOR THAT IS 15TH OCTOBER.... I THINK THE AAT SHOULD CONSIDER GIVING SLIGHTLY MORE FEEDBACK THAN 'UNSUCCESSFUL'.0 -

I failed PCR for the second time, the only bits i wasn't sure of where task 1.2 on the 1st part of the paper as i didn't read up about the sampling. I didn't think that getting 1 question wrong would make me fail. Also on part 2 of the paper i couldn't work out the udgeted fixed cost of electricity, and again i didn't think this would make me fail. Am i being thick, was it easy to work out the electricity?

I will find out tomorrow if i failed both parts of the paper or just 1 part.0 -

I know you are gutted but from experience it's best to move on, make sure you understand what is required to pass the syllabus, read all the topics and understand the subject when you go and resit the paper.

Because they will take your money check it and tell you the same information that you already know, you did not answer Q1.2 Sampline correctly and Section 2 electricity miscalculated. You will be hoping for a change but they rarely do change your mark, you have to pay for the service too, it's not free. Meanwhile you are not studying but are hanging on they decision. Not worth it.

Also you won't be able to see your exam script for yourself to see if you really did get as much of what they say incorrect.0 -

Failed PCR for 4th time (someone up there hates me...lol)

Anyone know how much the appeals procedure costs? I am aware you get a refund if succesful, but if not sucessful its around £30?

I would rather sit the exam again than pay out more than I should!!

Just my take...0 -

gaffarn, thanks for that. I wan't going to appeal i will just resit in December but i will make sure i read through my chapters in the book. I completely missed out on what are probably ver important issues. All i did to revise was do past esam papers. I am going to start straight away as if you leave it you forget a lot of the stuff.

I have got DFS to sit as well in December but this will be my first attempt at it.0 -

I think it is highly unlikely that your results would be overturned, should you appeal. I wouldnt bother wasting my money appealing, they get enough money out of you at any rate!

I failed PCR last december, through some of my own fault and owing to the fact that I believe section 1 was slightly unfair, as if I remember righly, it was 1 continuous question which made it impossible to pass, should you have gone wrong in your calculations, and also, the linear regression was fairly difficult bearing in mind that I was only a home study student with literally a paragraph explaining what it meant without a practical example (as per exam question format) in my textbook! Anyway, I passed PCR this time around and I worked hard for it. In addition, I also learned from my mistakes (as in, not writing enough in memos), and gained good feedback from my tutor which ensured success this time around. Stick at it. Good things come to those who wait.0 -
