I did Auditing which is so nice, really love it, that is if you work in a distributing company also cash management. I does receivables, which is pretty good. But students think tax will help you when doing Acca,, when I reach to that level then I will speak

I did personal tax, which helped make sense of my husbands tax return, and I am currently doing cash managemet and credit control which applies to what I do at work (budget forecasts). Out of the four options only business tax didn't appeal to me.

Best of luck with your choice
Eva

If u like number crunching then I'd suggest doing both the tax options. I did them both and found them really interesting.

I've worked in auditing previously and have to say I think its the most boring subject on the planet..............

Having said that, s'pose it depends on whether u want to do exams or simulations. Both the tax modules are exam based..........

Good luck whatever u decide :-)

I did the same as millitread. Cash Mgmt (extremely easy, finished in 45mins) and Audit (semi-difficult). What helped too is that they are both Simulations and not central exams, therefore less stress and you get to know your results quicker.

I did cash management and both tax options - because we were advised at the beginning of tech year that audit was boring and that there was a lot of writing involved and because I like the number crunching I opted for cash management - this we were told would help us with dfs. The two tax options I found interesting and though it is a lot to learn with lots of rules the exams themselves were very straight forward. It does mean a lot of revising with 5 exams to do, but I felt that the tax options would be more useful - whether that is true remains to be seen!!
