Hi,

My college does not do AAT Technician level so I am going to have to study elsewhere. The easiest place for me to get to is the BPP in Leeds.

Can anyone tell me good things/ bad things about studying with BPP? Is it a lot different to studying at a "normal" college?

Thanks,

Laura

BPP are fab in my opinion. They are more expensive, but very focused on getting results. The difference I found (I did AAT at college then Cima with BPP) is that the units are totally separate, so you book in for whichever units you want to do, rather than a college telling you when you study each subject. This is more flexible, but means you have to be more organised and motivated to know what you have to do and by when. Sometime people have complaints about big classess and poor customer service, but this tends to be the London centres, I use Luton and they are excellent as they're smaller, Leeds may well be more like this.0 -

Have u thought about using Premier Training ? They are excellent and their study books (by Osbourne) are very clear and easy to follow.

They charge about £500 for tech level.0 -

I agree with danteandsam, I have used both Luton and Milton Keynes BPP and have nothing but praise for their service. They ring me up after the exams to see how I got on and give me advice on what I should do next. However before I give them the absolute top level of praise, I'll wait until after my latest exam results!!

I did one paper at a local uni and one at BPP and because of my experience I am doing the rest of my papers with BPP. My experience is only with ACCA as I did AAT at college. A friend of mine did a revision course in DFS and found them fantastic.

As far as the work involved, you do need to put more time in out of college, but the support is fantastic.

Annette0 -

I did my tech exams at BPP in Leeds after doing their home study. Everyone in the exams that did the courses seemed to have a good relationship with the tutors.0 -
