ACCA Papers
I went to FTC/Foulkslynch publications and tried to buy the pocket notes that were advertised in PQ August magazine, there are not cheap £10 per copy, I wanted to buy them for papers 2.1, 2.2, 2.3 but out of stock for 2.1, and 2.2, but back ordered anyway, 2.3 was available straight away, 2.3 is for students sitting Dec 2005 only, its cheaper £7 per copy, compared to the other two which include the June 06 sitting (hopefully ACCA come through with my exemptions and I don't fail in Dec 05), if you all are interested the website is www.financial-training.com/new/foulkslynch

I understand that FTC/Foulkslynch are the official publishers for ACCA, so I am thinking their pocket notes are better than BPPs because examiner might have a hand in how the text was written?0 -

Hi

Actually FTC/Foulkes Lync is the only offical publisher for ACCA profesional scheme. BPP is the offical publisher for the DipFM.
0 -

Having used both sets of books for ACCA I have found that the BPP pass cards or pocket notes are clearer than FTC,s. The Study guides for FTC are better than BPP's and the revision guides are both the same, in fact you could swap covers and not be sure which ones you were using.

It's all personal preference in the end.

Annette0 -

I am using the FTC study texts on my ACCA course (which is good news if they are the official ACCA publisher), and thought the their pocket notes would be better too, well it's too late now to order from BPP and phoned up Ftc/foulkslynch and was told that my back order would only be delivered in August for paper 2.2 and September for paper 2.1. Which seems really long time away, why were FTC/Foulkslynch advertising the pocket notes in PQ magazine, if they didn't have the goods in stock, I know September (the latest) isn't that far away but still I am paying postage too, I should have just waited to get them in store, previously bought from Blackwells my ACCA/AAT books.0
