EXAM CONDITION COMPLAINT

Technician stage and first posting on forum!! Sat 3 exams in June and failed all 3 (however passed one section on each - so not feeling completely thick). I am distance learning student and the nearest college to where I live had terrible conditions when sitting exams from freezing cold hall to waiting around for 40 mins to be allowed in. Have emailed AAT since finding out my results and informed them however have been told too late to take into account as exam form states have 3 weeks from exams taking place. Now rather annoyed with myself for not having informed them sooner but was just so relieved to have got them out of the way and one thing and another it completely went out my head. Has anyone else been in this situation? If so what did you do? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    EXAM CONDITION COMPLAINT

    Hi

I had a problem with noise during my 3 exams caused by the invigilators talking throughout the exams by all accounts! I wrote to the AAT to complain a couple of weeks after, though I never received a response and I re-sent my complaint a couple of weeks on from that and still did not hear anything!

Though I was fortunate enough to have passed all 3 of my exams I still feel the AAT should allow you more time to complain about your exam conditions as they can be off-putting. I just hope students who sit the exams at my college (Northbrook) have better invigilators next year.

There were about three exams going on in the same hall when I sat DFS in June, which all finished at different times causing disruption.

I'm gonna take earplugs in December !!

    EXAM CONDITION COMPLAINT

For each of the 5 exams I took for technician level, the same lad arrived 15 minutes late for EVERY exam. This was because his train didn't get him there on time, even though there were earlier trains he could have caught he chose to disrupt the exam room each time. I think the selfish *&^$%^£%&^ should have been sent straight back out!!

By the way, I appealed against my DFS result (failed section 2) but I haven't heard anything back yet - any idea how long it takes the AAT to deal with appeals (never done it before).

Cheers

I too failed section 2 of DFS. Was your appeal based on the fact that you were disrupted during the exam? I have not appealed before and not sure what happens also not sure how long they take. I am waiting to hear back from my tutor to see whether it is worth me appealing or not.

When I was doing one of my Foundation exams, part of the ceiling in the room fell down on some poor girls head!!! Caused a bit of disruption!!
Sadly I have no idea how she did as I do home study, so it was a one off visit to that college.
(I chose a different college to take exams at since then!!)
Miny.
