I'm still finding it really hard to get going with my project.
I'm trying to find a subject that I can write 3000-4000 words about, i thought petty cash but I have come to the planning stages and as there is only me doing the petty cash how do I comment on motivation and training.
The problem is my work has really good set procedures for everything and everybody already follows them to the last point.
How do I then comment on new procedures and improvements?
Can anybody help with any ideas of subject I should base upon or how I can get around my work problem?

Thanks

    Hi

I did mine on our foreign petty cash system, I look after it and nobody really checks my work or checks the cash in tin. I talked about the improvements that could be made, ie getting boss to sign off and to check cash every quarter. You have to bring fraud in so for example I said that I could be stealing money and no-one would know.

I basically outlined the procedure of getting cash (broker filling out form and requesting from me) then went through all the procedures, this makes for a lot of writing. Then went through all procedures again and made recommendations on each step.

Believe me the hardest thing is getting started but once you do it isnt that bad.

Hope this helps
G

I agree, the hardest bit was choosing what I was going to write about.

I chose the payroll system at work. There was a few loopholes and I just went through the whole process from start to finish and put recommendations in about how to make it easier to process and to stop any ways I could think of to cheat the system (which covered the fraud aspect).

The first 1000 words were a nightmare . . . but once I got the hang of it I had to stop myself from writing over 4000!!

Good luck . . . the sooner you get started the sooner it will be finished.

C.
