Could anyone help me with the executive summary please?

    When I did my project, my tutor told me that the executive summary is just a summary of the whole report condensed into one or two pages.<BR><BR>It should cover the main points covered by the project, so that your manager can just read that and get the gist of the report without reading the whole project.<BR><BR>This summary should be completed last.<BR><BR>I hope that this helps.<BR><BR>C.

    ngali m,<BR><BR>I got stuck on this very bit of the project, when I had completed the report I had written so much on SWOT analysis that I had 4000 words already so I wrote two paragraphs (half a page for executive summary) which was "rejected from my assessor", which resulted in I being angry with her and not bothering with working on the project for a whole month, meanwhile deadline for ACCA is looming nearer and nearer. Anyway just do it like this, summarise the weaknesses of the company, include recommendations and impact to the company if not implemented (profit of the business, goodwill of suppliers and customers... listen make it up just complete it and submit to assessor)...<BR><BR>Good Luck, Do you want to start ACCA?     Hi Gaffarn<BR><BR>Thanks for your reply, I am in the same boat. My project got rejected because of executive summary and recommendation not met the requirement. I am interested in CIMA and having passed 3 out of 5 papers of Certificate levels, hence I am now doing Economic for Business and Business Law in order to complete by the end of this year, so next year I will be in Managerial level as planned.<BR><BR>I only got the MAS project in order to complete AAT Technician Levels and to get the full AAT Certificate. I started my MAS project early this year, but got returned quite a few times, it is very difficult to get to the bottom of it because people work in various working environment and being a trainee like me would my suggestions and solutions be taken into account? Therefore I have decided that even though I still want my AAT to be completed, I am doing project when I am less busy, and still don't know how to put the executive summary right as required.<BR><BR>Thanks again.<BR>Nga

    Daryn1991<BR><BR>The main difference between the old and new standards is that the new standards includes managing people. There is not so much emphasis on fraud, although this has to be included, but managing people is now a major part of it.<BR><BR>The guidelines on this site are brilliant, they're under assessments.<BR><BR>Annette

    WHAT YOU COULD DO IS TRY TO IMAGINE YOU ARE A MANAGER OR LINE MANAGER AND DISCUSS THAT USING EXAMPLES OF MANAGEMENT STYLES ETC. HOPE THAT HELPS
