Modern Apprentice Training scheme

I am in the process of being government funded by Quantica for my AAT Intermediate. I was just curious about what happens if I plan to change workplace during the time Im being funded for my course what happens? Do I carry on or do I have to stop?

    I was told that you lose your funding for your course if you change your workplace. Im not 100% sure of this so your better off to ring Quantica up. Im with them as well and i was udner the impression that you lose your funding, otherwise i would of left this workplace long ago!!!

    <BR>The MA scheme does require an element of employer cooperation. It might be something to ask your new employer as well - some might get a bit funny about the quarterly meetings and all that malarky.

    Modern Apprentice Training scheme

    I started AAT on a Modern Apprentice Training scheme and changed workplaces before I'd completed AAT (changed after completing Intermediate). My funding stopped but my new workplace paid for it. <BR><BR>I've been lucky as as I've completed each level I've changed jobs and each time was supported.<BR><BR>Helen

    I was with a Training Provider when i first started Foundation, which is where they found me my first job. I'm not sure if the training providers are different, but i changed jobs twice during Foundation and Intermediate level and they still paid for me. <BR><BR>They don't pay for Technician stage, which i feel seems very strange to stop paying halfway through your qualification. My employer said he would pay for this year (Technician). He said he would rather pay than have all of the paper work to go through.<BR><BR>I can't really see it as a problem that you want to change jobs, especially if your new employer is willing to give you time off to study. Although, when i moved jobs, i was moving from Practice to Practice.<BR><BR>Maybe it's a good idea to have a chat with your training provider next time they come to see you if you can wait that long!<BR><BR>

    I'm on one and have had no problems when moving jobs! Just the provider had to come out and do a Health and Safety check of the new office then everything carried on as normal.<BR><BR>Hope this helps!
