Dear All

I am taking my resits for PCR and DFS in December and although previously I have used BPP books as this was what my college advised to get I have been noticing on this site that alot of people find the Osbourne books better. I myself, find BPP books a bit long winded on things and feel at this stage it might be beneficial to look around at other revision alternatives, to coincide with BPP.

With that in mind I am going to look into buying the Osbourne books, does anyone know what year they are published and what they are called, ie are they just called Drafting Financial Statement etc or something else. I need to know this for DFS and PCR, so any help will be appreciated. Hopefully this will enable me to purchase the correct ones.

Many Thanks

Maz

Have a look at the link below for Osbornes website:

http://www.osbornebooksshop.co.uk/items.php?catid=4

'Limited Company Accounts Tutorial' is the DFS textbook. There is also a workbook on there. And both come in 2005 exam and 2006 formats so depends on which you want to buy. The 2006 book includes the new International Standards.

'Managing Performance & Resources' is the book for PCR/PEV. Again there is a tutorial and workbook.

Hope that helps you.

Sarah.

FTC books come highly recommended. I used BPP books for my foundation level and like you found them hard to digest, we were then recommended by our college to get FTC (Financial Training Company) books for intermediate and I found them really good. I'll definitely be getting my books from FTC for my final year.

Hope this helps.
