Can anyone help me - FTC or BPP?

I'm currently studying Technician level but the Personal Tax unit that I want to do is on an evening and I can only do days. So I have decided to do the Home Study package but don't know who to go with, FTC or BPP??<BR><BR>Has anyone used either of these and what did you think of them?<BR><BR>Sarah.

    Have just used BPP distance learning package for Technician level. It's okay as long as you can motivate yourself. I have obtained copies of the Osbourne books for 2 units which I am retaking because I feel they provide better explanations in a way I can understand, rather then my BPP text books.<BR><BR>If I continue with Accounting qualifications after AAT I think I would go with another company, but that is just my personal view. <BR><BR>I would also be interested in finding out opinions of FTC.

    I would say FTC. A lot of my colleagues study with both BPP and FTC - and nearly all of them prefer FTC. The study notes and pass rate (so I've heard) are a lot better than BPP.<BR><BR>I'm starting ACCA in Jan with FTC.<BR><BR>Helen

    Nicky, I have looked at the Premier Training website already but it doesn't say whether they do seperate units or just the full course so I've emailed them about it. Do you know?<BR><BR>I've already done cash mgt, auditing, DFS and PCR so only PEV and project to do. The tax units I want to do will be extra but they only do them on an evening at my college which is no good to me.

    I don't know whether they do seperate units - sorry. But they're very prompt at replying to emails sent to them so I'm sure you'll get an answer on way or another !<BR><BR>Good luck whatever you decide to do.

    Thanks everyone. I've gone for FTC! Feel better now I've made the decision and can't wait to get started. Then again it is the beginning of the year and I'm always eager for the first week or so?!
