Hoping someone can help as my tutor is part time (Friday being a not available day!)

Cash book/bank reconciliation - as the two b/f balances do not agree do I assume that there is another unpresented payment from the previous reconciliation that I need to account for (this gets my reconciliation to balance) or am I missing something more obvious?

My sales ledger control account is out by £9. I have my closing balance for SLCA as £127,362 - guessing this is wrong! Any help gratefully received.

My final TB is £2 more Db side (due to the above SLCA mistake I guess but correct me if I am just not getting the point).

If I were to enter a £2 suspense would I fail the simulation in this instance do you think? I have already failed once so I need to get the next one I sit or I have failed despite passing the exam! Oh how I hate simulations!
hi jlj...

i have done this assignment and i think if you read the last bullet point in the task all will be revealed!

i too had a difference of £9

in most cases there is an error in the accounts somewhere which results in you having a difference in your total figures of the slca and reconciliation.

hope this helps..

rob

I also have a difference of £9.00 which I can't explain!!

I think the question is actually asking for reasons why you could have that difference and you don't actually need to identify where the error has occured. I hope that's the case anyway, I can't find the error anywhere!!
