I have just started my course two weeks ago, are you expected to start gathering your evidence straight away or will the lecture inform us when and what evidence you need. Do you just need one piece of evidence for each question?

I am just a little confused I would be grateful if someone could help.

If your using work based evidence start collecting straight away, you will find it easier in the long run, if you leave it to the last minute then you'll have a lot of work to do. I would personally get 2 pieces of evidence that differ slightly if possible, also remember a lot of the time one piece of evidence will cover 2 or more of the criteria so don't go filling up your portfolio with repetitive evidence. Unit 1 will require more evidence that the other units as some of the criteria in the other units are covered in unit 1. Hope this helps.

x

In my case, with the exception of units 22 and 23, the vast majority of the portfolio requirements were met by the skills tests/simulations and supplementary exercises set by the tutor. Few of the people on my course worked in an accounts enrivonment so it would have beeen impossible for us to provide work-based evidence anyway.

You can have a look at the student record card here, this should give you some guidance. If you're concerned ask your tutor, they (usually) know what you should be doing.

Chris
