Thought I'd get one of the easier units out of the way first (worked in IT until a few months ago) but I've come across a strange request. The FTC send a mock Q & A paper which you need to answer. This forms part of the evidence itself and also allows you to reference some of your additional own work.<BR><BR>One thing that I need to gather however is "a screen print of the password used to access your PC".<BR>Now as I read it this means a screen grab of the initial logon screen where you enter username/password but the Print Screen button does not work until you actually log on. Now I've done some research and it can be done using remote access software or a virtual PC but I hardly think this is something they would be asking for this type of unit at this level.<BR><BR>Am I reading too much into or just reading it incorrectly? Does anyone know what is actually required?<BR><BR>Thanks,<BR>Craig

    Is there any other software that need a password???<BR><BR>What about word document you could password protect it.<BR><BR>There is a free trail software called SNAGIT which i used to use before someone exlpained the Print screen buton and how it worked, but its still going to have the same problem as you cant get to the welcome screen without not being logged on. <BR><BR>I GOT IT.......<BR><BR>Open windows, then go to LOG OFF, then SWITCH USER then PRINT SCREEN<BR>Then log back in<BR>Go to Word and Paste!!!<BR><BR>Hope this helps!<BR><BR>Amanda<BR><BR>I got around all this password lark by putting in a CD and a document on there that was password protected!

    Hmm.. just confirms my suspicion that the WWC Unit was developed by people who don't know much about computers. If I was doing this task, I'd do a screenshot of an application password - login to use these forums would probably do - and then explain just why it's impossible to carry out the task as stated. Adding a 'duh' to the end of that explanation would be tempting too.

    JUst done this also, the way we got round it was to get the tutor to watch us log on and then verify it by way of a witness statement that you can put in your portfolio - do you have someone who can do this for you?

    I had no problem with doing it, the way I did it was turn on my computer, print screen and go on from there. It did work, although I'm not quite sure why it differs from yours.
