Unit 4 / Unit 6

I am studying AAT at college and we are currently supposed to be doing Unit 4, Information for Management Control, our tutor has give us homework to be completed by Wednesday, I have looked at the sheet and it is way beyond me. It says it is Unit 6, Recording Cost Information. The sheet gives you two tables of information, and the question is: <BR><BR>You are required to calculate appropriate machine hour overhead absorption rates for both manufacturing departmets in which all overheads will be recovered and to show clearly the method of overhead allocation?<BR><BR>The question might as well be written in a foreign language, as I don't understand the question let alone know how to work it out.<BR><BR>Does any one know if Unit 6 in the Foundation level or is it covered in the Intermediate level? <BR><BR>If unit 6 is in Foundation level, I'm going to struggle!!! <BR><BR>Or maybe I am just thick.<BR><BR>Please help<BR>

Its Unit 6 and whats more scary is that I cant do that question yet and Im taking the Unit 6 exam in december!!<BR><BR>I would ask college as I think he has picked up the wrong homework as its Intermediate level.<BR><BR>I think the only think overlapping in unit 4 / 6 is FIFO, LIFO, AVCO and cost centres etc.<BR><BR>Amanda0 -

Thanks Amanda<BR><BR>It's reasuring to know that this work sheet is part of the Intermediate Level and not foudation, I still can't do it, so I will go back on Wednesday and ask them to explain it (again and again and again lol) I think I will need it. Hi <BR>this is definitely not overed in unit 4. <BR>no performance criteria of unit 4 requires this so the college shuld not be trying to make u do it now. <BR>as amanda has mentioned it is unit 60
